The Bristol branch of Clone Zone has closed following reports that the company has entered administration.
Despite winning the title of best gay shop in the Pink Paper Reader’s Awards, it appears that Clone Zone are the latest retailer to be hit by the current financial slump that had already hit other retailers such as Woolworths and Zavvi.
The branch, located in Colston Street, has been open for 8 years. Its other stores in Leeds, Brighton and Newcastle have also shut and the Bournemouth store is set to close on Friday.
The future of Clone Zone’s Manchester, Soho, and Glasgow stores is currently unknown.
