Flamingos, the South West’s largest LGBT nightclub, is hosting a massive fundraiser for Pride Bristol on Saturday 17 April.
Since Flamingos first opened its doors it has become an award-winning ‘destination’ venue attracting LGBT people and their straight friends from Bristol and beyond. Offering two arenas playing floor-filling, funky electro and house, commercial dance, r’n’b and carefully selected cheese, the Flamingos Fundraiser promises fun and funds galore for Pride Bristol.
During the run up to the fundraiser there will be printable £5 vouchers on the Flamingos and Pride Bristol websites. Print out the vouchers, bring them with you to Flamingos on Sat 17 April, and hand them in when buying your wristband. In return Flamingos will donate £5 to Pride Bristol.
Pride Bristol Director Dr Anna Rutherford said: ‘We’re going to be involving all of Bristol’s diverse LGBT scene in fundraisers for Pride Bristol. We need the whole city to pull together if we’re going to establish an event to be proud of. So far everyone has shown unprecedented goodwill towards Pride. Flamingos were one of the first venues to really get behind Pride, and owner Stuart Hayles has been extremely supportive of the event. The Flamingos Fundraiser will be a vibrant, friendly night. Print out the vouchers from the Pride Bristol or Flamingos websites and come along, it’s a really simple way to show your support and everyone’s welcome!’
Flamingos will also donate a portion of standard entry, and all cloakroom money to Pride Bristol on Sat 17 April.
Look out for our fundraiser teams of Pride Champions who will be going around Old Market on the night.
