Bristol given the chance to say ‘We are Proud’

The theme and date for this year’s Pride celebrations in Bristol has been announced. The event which will take place on the cities College Green, will take place on Saturday 14th July.

All kicking off with a Pride Parade that will be bigger than ever , the event will feature performances by Sing Out Bristol, a Community Area sponsored by Co-Operative and much more, activities will continue into an evening street fiesta with very special after parties by some of Bristol’s best club nights including one being held at the 02 Academy.

This year’s Pride will be free but is totally unfunded and staffed by volunteers, so the event organisers will be asking for donations on the day and holding a series of fundraising events in the coming months.

Money raised will also go to support Freedom Youth, Bristol’s dedicated LGBT Youth Service which is under threat in recent funding cuts.

More details can be found at the event website or the festival Facebook Page

We regret that the Pridewest website will close on 31st March 2020, unless further funding for it’s maintenance can be found.
