The Bristol based LGBT Radio show ShoutOut has once again opened it’s ShoutOut Awards scheme for nominations.
Over the last two years ShoutOut – the radio Show for the LGBT community in Bristol and surrounding areas have been giving their listeners a chance to reward those who work for and within the LGBT community. Listeners are able to nominate and vote for their favourites in over 20 categories including Best Bar, Best support group and most all-inclusive group.
The voting starts with free nominations, where anyone can be nominated for an award – this stage is open until the end of December. The top 4 with the most nominations in each category then go through to the final voting stage which opens in January. The awards will be made live on air during February.
Past years have seen awards given to local groups such as Sing Out Bristol and The Bristol Bisons, and ‘LGBT Heroes’ such as Claire Balding, and Daryn Carter – the man behind Bristol Pride events.
The ShoutOut LGBT show has been running for nearly 5 years. It’s made at Bristol Community FM and broadcasts on that station and also on Bradley Stoke FM, Glastonbury FM, Base Radio and Pirate Nation Radio. For more information and to vote in the awards go to www.shoutoutradio.org.uk
