The countdown to Swindon & Wiltshire Pride 2015 begins this weekend with the official launch party at the town’s Mailcoach venue.
Among the highlights of the night is an amazing band called ‘The Mid Life Crisis’ – a Swindon based covers & originals band, and the amazing DJ Burnout to get the party well and truly started. A cocktail bar and jelly shots will also be on hand.
A theme of military has been set for the night, and those attending in fancy dress will receive a free cocktail. There will also be a BBQ in the Mailcoach’s garden from 6.30 – 9pm, along with fun games to play.
Also during the night the headliner act for Pride 2015 will be announced along with the name of the Swindon & Wiltshire Pride teddy bear mascot
This is a free event but donations on the door will be gratefully received.
Swindon & Wiltshire Pride will take place in Swindon’s Town Gardens on 8th August and is a a free event that is open to everyone, organised by volunteers for all to enjoy. The event is a safe and fun environment for members of the community to come along and meet new people and make friends. It also helps to break down barriers and build bridges between the LGBT and non-LGBT communities, it helps to educate and remove pre conceived judgments that people may hold regarding individuals that identify as LGBT and access to many various support services.
More information can be found about the event on the Swindon & Wiltshire Pride Website
