Comedian and actor Billy Eichner released one of his best episodes of Billy on the Street to date. Why’s that? Because it stars none other than Broadway legend Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Eichner hosts the show, where he runs around New York City with celebrities and yells at strangers. He sometimes even gives them a dollar for answering inane and hilarious questions.
The premise of this episode is finding out if New Yorkers are doing okay during these tumultuous times and how they’re making it through.
However, with Miranda as a guest, it naturally devolves into people being super excited to meet the Hamilton creator and star, or not knowing who he is.
One person is even listening to Hamilton when Eichner and Miranda approach her.
One of the best moments is when the pair meet a woman who contributed art to a Garfield book which Mirando wrote the foreword for.
Eichner’s confused face about Garfield fanart says it all.
And despite how epic Miranda is, the best part of Billy on the Street is still Eichner dramatically screaming at people on the streets of New York City. It truly never gets old.
One of his recent episodes starred Tiffany Haddish as they looked to cast a diverse remake of Hocus Pocus.
Miranda can soon be seen on the big screen in Mary Poppins Returns, alongside Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep, and Dick Van Dyke.
