Through the last few years a Gay Village has been established in the Old Market area of the city containing many venues catering for most 'genres' such as bears, lesbians, club-goers, and even those that just like a quiet pint.
Recent estiamtes say that around 40,000 lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people live and work in the Bristol area, making it one of the largest urban 'LGBT' populations in the country.
