Rainbow Rooms Hopes For A Bright Future
A Salisbury Based Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Charity could be housed in a permanent base if plans develop around a possible new base in the city.
Rainbow Rooms UK, set up by Will Clark told the Salisbury Journal ” We are in the early stages of negotiation over a site. The centre will benefit not only the gay community but their friends, families and people who come into contact with them Wiltshire-wide.”
The Charity which holds weekly meetings at The Pheasant Inn every Thursday for local LGBT people and has attracted up to 80 people.
The Charity is also forging links with the local community, being recently nominated for a Striving for Excellence award by the Salisbury NHS Trust. Salisbury Mayor John Abbott has offered to host a black tie event to benefit the charity and local MP John Glen who gave his full support to the plans.
