Bristol Pride Celebrate Same Sex Marriage

From the 29 March same sex couples will be able to marry in England and Wales so Bristol Pride are celebrating by throwing a party and inviting the local community.
The Pride Organisers started campaigning back in June 2012 where they held an ‘Here Comes The Pride’ event to campaign for Marriage Equality so they thought it was only right that we throw a celebration on the 29 March – the day that the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act 2013 becomes live.
The organisers tell us to expect a wedding reception with a Pride Twist, Bands, DJs, Campaigning for Trans Equality and even get your wedding photo taken…. and not a bridezilla in sight! There will also be performances from MAISIE, Paired Down ft Tammy Roylance, Cardman Pugz street magician and DJ SJB!
We even have a wedding cake from Paradise Cakes PLUS photobooth for silly wedding shots and a free drink on arrival from Barefoot wines!
The event is being held at ‘@Bristol’ which is located on Millennium Square in Bristol’s Harbourside development, just off the Centre and starts at 6.30pm. An afterparty is being held at the QueeenShilling to ensure that the celebrations continue into the night.
The organisers are also appealing to those attending to bring a photo – that they can keep – of you and a loved one, which will be added to their memories album.
More details can be found on the Facebook event page and tickets are available now at just £5 (+50p bf) and includes FREE drink on arrival and FREE entry to the afterparty
Tickets can be bought on-line from the Bristol Ticket Shop
