Ride For Swindon Pride
The organisers behind Swindon & Wiltshire Pride are appealing for people to get on their bikes and Ride For Swindon Pride.
The annual event, which is due to be held on 9th August this year, is dependant on fund-raising to ensure that the event goes ahead.
Swindon and Wiltshire Pride is proud to provide a free event that is open to everyone, organised by volunteers for all to enjoy. The event is a safe and fun environment for members of the community to come along and meet new people and make friends. It also helps break down barriers and build bridges between the LGBT and non-LGBT communities, it helps to educate and remove pre-conceived judgements that people may hold regarding individuals that identify as LGBT and access to many various support services.
Following last year’s successful 32mile ride, there is another planned for this year which is due to take place on Saturday 21st June. The next practice ride will take place on the 11th May, meeting at Swindon’s Mailcoach at 11am.
Those interested in taking part can contact the organisers through the Swindon & Wiltshire Pride Website.
