Winners Announced of ShoutOut Awards 2015

The Winners of the ShoutOut Awards for 2015 have been announced during the latest show.
Over the last two years ShoutOut – the radio Show for the LGBT community in Bristol and surrounding areas have been giving their listeners a chance to reward those who work for and within the LGBT community. Listeners are able to nominate and vote for their favourites in over 20 categories including Best Bar, Best support group and most all-inclusive group.
This years awards voting started back in November with a free nomination period where anyone can be nominated for an award – this stage ran through until the end of December. The top 4 with the most nominations in each category then went through to the final voting stage which was available on the show’s website during January.
With the votes counted and finalised, the winners were announced on the latest show – transmitted on 12th February. Among the highlights of this years awards was the postumous award of ‘Local Hero of the Year’ to Peers Woollen.
