Ride For Swindon & Wiltshire Pride

The organisers behind the Swindon & Wiltshire Pride Festival are appealing for people to get on their bikes and Ride For Swindon Pride.

The official Swindon and Wiltshire ‘Ride for Pride’ 2015 is kicking off (or should that be peddling off!) from Farringdon Park on Sunday 14th June and will be covering a massive 25 miles around Swindon.

rfp-2015The organising team said ” We’ll be having practise rides beforehand and would love for you to join us, sponsor us and cheer us along. Maybe you could join us for a much need drink at the end of the event.

All the money raised from the ‘Ride For Pride’ event will go directly into funding the annual event, which will once again return to the Town Gardens, on Saturday 8th August.

Swindon and Wiltshire Pride is proud to provide a free event that is open to everyone, organised by volunteers for all to enjoy. The event is a safe and fun environment for members of the community to come along and meet new people and make friends. It also helps break down barriers and build bridges between the LGBT and non-LGBT communities, it helps to educate and remove pre-conceived judgements that people may hold regarding individuals that identify as LGBT and access to many various support services.

The event, which is now in its 8th year, attracted a crowd of 2,500 visitors, as long as many local LGBT groups and performers.
