Twitter Q&A Session with Avon & Somerset Police LGBT

Avon & Somerset Police will be hosting a live twitter Q&A Session on Wednesday 20th May around Male Rape and Sexual Assault
It’s estimated that 12,000 men in England & Wales are raped each year and that less than 1 in 10 will report it to the police.
The session will take place from 6pm – 8pm on Wednesday 20th May via the #ListenBelieveRespect hastag on the @ASPolice twitter account , and will be hosted by PC Mike Stevens who is part of the Avon & Somerset team who have recently launched a campaign to raise awareness and increase confidence in reporting rape and serious sexual assault.
As part of this work, there is already a dedicated webpage available that answers some questions about male rape, as long as providing information on how to report a rape or sexual assault to the police, and providers of help & support.
To find out more, and for information on reporting rape or sexual assault, visit the Avon & Somerset Constabulary Website.
For advice and support if you, or someone you know, has been raped or sexually assaulted visit www.thisisnotanexcuse.org
Tomorrow from 6pm. Get your questions ready and I will do my very best to answer them #ListenBelieveRespect pic.twitter.com/PUiFUTjdip
