Bringing Pride To Weston Super Mare

Bringing Pride To Weston Super Mare

Weston-super-Mare Pride festival is back again for a third year and this time its organisers promise it will bring a real sense of community to the town.

Returning to the town on Saturday 30th July, The festival will start with a colourful parade through the town centre, with participants from the North Somerset Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Forum, Avon and Somerset Constabulary, trade unions and other groups.

Those in the parade will be invited to wear fancy dress and wave flags as they dance and march their way along the seafront and through the town towards Grove Park.

The parade will start at 11am at Knightstone Island and will continue on to the High Street for 11.30am.

The main day event will again be hosted in the town’s Grove Park and will see a main stage and an acoustic tent jam packed with live acts throughout the day including Nicki French, X-Factor star Lloyd Daniels, Rozalla and DJ Rich B.

More details about the day’s events and ticket information can be found on the WSM Pride Website
