Bears Choose Bristol To Hibernate Once More

Bristol is once again readying itself for the annual Bristol Bear ‘Hibearnation’ event.
With deep winter approaching it’s time for Bears to think about settling down, but not before one last party weekend from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd December with The Southern HiBEARnation – A Very Beary Christmas!
The organisers behind both annual bear events in Bristol – Bristol Bear Fiesta & Southern HiBearnation, have planned a weekend of activities and partying in Bristol’s thriving Old Market gay village.
Friday evening marks the beginning of the event and as always the home for the weekend is the Bristol Bear Bar which opens at 7pm for the customary Meet & Greet launch party – so dig out those winter woollies and join in the fun. Bristol Bear Bar’s resident award-winning DJ, DJ Daddi hosts a special SHB10 version of his ever-popular Pop Nation night with all the usual camp, pop, cheesiness that entails so start the weekend with a party that will last into the early hours of Saturday morning!
On Saturday, The Bristol Bear Bar will be open all afternoon from 2pm as they host the popular event market and will be joined by local businesses with beary goods plus LGBT support organisations so pop along to browse, enjoy an afternoon refreshment and relax in good company. Stalls include Hartzak and Cub de Crochet.
After the market the bar will stay open all night as they host the second night of Southern HiBearnation with a special edition of their monthly club night, HARNESS – A Very Beary Christmas Edition.
Harness is a bespoke club night, an LGBT+ fetish social where everyone is welcome. No dresscode necessary but it’s always encouraged especially for this weekends theme, with or without a HARNESS! (no nudity please)
So whether you wear a festive t-shirt, a Christmas costume, a gaudy xmas jumper or just whatever you feel comfortable in, be sure to join us at The Bristol Bear Bar for club classics, dance, funky tunes and a bit of cheese with DJ Daddi at the helm again until the early hours of Sunday morning – a fun night out with the bears!
