Bears Hibernate In Bristol
Bristol is once again readying itself for the annual Bristol Bear ‘Hibearnation’ event.
With deep winter approaching it’s time for Bears to think about settling down, but not before one last party weekend from Friday 30th November to Sunday 2nd December with The Southern HiBEARnation.
Welcome to the start of this year’s Southern HiBearnation and furry festive theme, Jingle Bears – a beary Christmas weekend!
Friday evening marks the beginning of the event and as always our home for the weekend is the Bristol Bear Bar which opens at 7pm for the customary Meet & Greet launch party, where we join the Bristol Bear Bar’s resident award-winning DJ Daddi for a special version of his much-loved Pop Nation night with all the usual camp, pop, cheesiness that entails. At 10pm we turn the camp factor up a notch with “Pop Nation Does Drag”, starring Cookie Monstar and hosted by Miss Beaver! So grab your winter woollies and start the weekend with a party that will last into the early hours of Saturday morning!
Saturday evening starts at The Bristol Bear Bar for their award-winning LGBT monthly BEARPIT club night where DJ Daddi will be playing Club Classics in Disco Heaven, another night of Funky Tunes & Party Pops all done with that extra bit of FAAABULOUSNESS from 7pm ’til late. For those of you who like to join in with the theme of our weekend, feel free to wear a festive t-shirt, a Christmas costume, a gaudy xmas jumper or just whatever you feel comfortable in, and be sure to join us at The Bristol Bear Bar for club classics, dance, funky tunes and a bit of cheese with DJ Daddi at the helm again until the early hours of Sunday morning – a fun night out with the bears!
Sundays are always a relaxing wind-down part of the bear weekends after the long Friday and Saturday nights and gives a chance to rest and enjoy the beautiful city of Bristol.
There is plenty to see and do around the city and if you are still with us in the evening be sure to join us from 5pm onwards when the Bristol Bear Bar opens for the final night of the Southern HiBearnation weekend as DJ Daddi once again keeps you entertained from 7pm with his monthly Golden Oldies hits!
