As always with Lady Gaga songs, fans are bound to listen on loop and spot things nobody else would.

So it has turned out with newest mega-hit Stupid Love.

Fans have noticed the opening beat of Gaga’s new single bears a striking resemblance to the theme tune of Drag Race star Trixie Mattel’s YouTube web series.

You can listen to both here:

Ever seen Gaga and Trixie in the same place at the same time?

Gaga’s new single, Stupid Love, came out on 28 February. And despite being out for only a week, it’s already achieved 29million views on YouTube.

The song takes her back to her pop roots with a similar style to her classic Born This Way album.

Meanwhile the video, with dancers in bubblegum pink and other bright colors, is upbeat and exuberant.

But now some fans have noticed a striking similarity to another upbeat, pink colored, music clip.

Stupid Love’s beat sounds very close to intro music at the start of Trixie Mattel’s Trixie Cosmetics makeup tutorials on YouTube.

The slappy-synth theme has been leading in to the web series for months.

Is it a big coincidence? Or could it be that Lady Gaga is a fan and this is her homage to Trixie?

Trixie Mattel is famous as the winner of the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. She also placed sixth on the seventh season of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Mattel has since carved a career in country music and with her own line of cosmetics.

Social media is definitely enjoying the similarity.

James Dylan Edge joked: ‘Have we ever seen Gaga and @trixiematel in the same place at the same time? Nope! Heard it here first.’

Whereas others are shocked how similar it is now it’s been pointed it out to them.

Perhaps it’s not surprising if Gaga does turn out to be a Trixie fan. The multi-award winning bisexual singer is also one of the LGBT+ community’s most famous supporters.
