LGBT Community Encouraged To Consider Adoption

LGBT Community Encouraged To Consider Adoption

Potential LGBT adopters are invited to attend a forthcoming Information Session on Tuesday 28th July.

CCS Adoption an independent, voluntary adoption agency based in Bristol, is running an online adoption Information Session to give people – including those from the LGBTQ+ community – the opportunity to find out more about adoption, the children who need adoptive families and CCS Adoption who are the region’s only Ofsted “Outstanding” adoption agency covering Bristol, Somerset, South Gloucestershire, BaNES and Wiltshire.

More than 1 in 5 children adopted through CCS last year were placed in LGBT families. There will be a short presentation at 5.15pm via Zoom with a Q&A session with previous CCS adopters and you’ll get to hear about their experiences and find out more about the application process and the support offered after adoption through their Centre for Adoption Support and Education.

The adoption team will be able to answer any questions you might have and to tell you more about the lifelong support and training that CCS provide. You’ll find out what the next steps are if you decide that adoption is right for you.

CCS will be holding this Information Session via Zoom, anyone wanting an invitation to the session can visit the CCS website in order to book a place. CCS can only work with people living within about an hour’s travelling distance of our office in Bristol. If you want to find out more in advance email CCS on advice@ccsadoption.org.

The session is being held on Tuesday 28th July 2020 from 5.15pm – 7.00pm
