Swindon and Wiltshire Pride Confirm Return For Summer 2022
Swindon and Wiltshire Pride have confirmed their return for an event in 2022.
2021’s LGBTQ+ festival brought thousands to their feet in style over the summer, and organisers have announced the popular Old Town event will be returning in 2022.
The day celebrates the diversity of the town and LGBTQ+ culture, with local organisations, service providers and charities coming together, along with 2 stages of music for all ages. South Swindon Parish Council manages the Town Gardens, and Chair Chris Watts said “We are delighted that the historic Town Gardens will be continuing to host Swindon & Wiltshire Pride in 2022. This event brings the Swindon and Wiltshire communities together to promote and celebrate our diversity.”
“Over the years, Pride in the Town Gardens has significantly expanded and improved, and now offers an incredible range of music and entertainment that I and other residents love.” He added, “I would encourage everybody to get the date in their diary now – 13th August 2022 – and make sure you celebrate Swindon and Wiltshire’s greatest and most worthwhile event.”
Phoenix Stewart, Community Engagement Manager from the charity said “We are extremely grateful to South Swindon Parish Council for once again letting us use this beautiful setting to host Swindon & Wiltshire Pride 2022.This has been our home from the start, and to have their support once again and be able to return is fantastic.”
