ShoutOut Awards 2023 Nominations Open

Local LGBT Radio Show, ShoutOut, has opened the voting period of it’s yearly awards event.
The ShoutOut Listener’s Awards returns for its 11th time, to recognise the best of certain elements of LGBT in the ShoutOut area.
Born from the demise of the Pink Paper and their awards, the ShoutOut team decided back in 2012 to bring about their very own version. Whilst the team spend a lot of the year interviewing and talking to some amazing people and organisations, The Shoutout team are giving their listeners a chance to have their say and cast their votes.
The ShoutOut Radio show was originally the brainchild of Terry Starr, and is an LGBT radio show created by Terry, Mary Milton (an experienced sound recordist) and Andy Shilton (a web developer with a history in radio who pioneered one of the first ever internet radio stations).
Broadcasting for over 14 years, ShoutOut boasts a wide and diverse team from all over the South West producing two distinct shows that are broadcast on four FM stations as well as two online stations, to an average audience of over 55,000.
The ShoutOut Listeners’ Awards are your chance to tell us who you think is the “best of the best” – those people, groups, businesses, etc. that deserve special recognition.
The first round of open nominations closed before Christmas, and has now entered the second round, where shortlists of top nominations in each award are now available to vote on. Voting will close at Midnight on 31st January 2023. Some of the categories available to vote on include Best Drag Artist, Best Podcast, Best Literary Work, Best Festival and Best Bar.
The subsequent winners of each category will be announced at an awards ceremony being held at the Old Market Assembly in Bristol on 23rd February.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on-air and will feature guest presenters, and has been promised to be a celebration to remember!
