Nationwide Sponsors Swindon & Wiltshire Pride 2023

Swindon based Nationwide Building Society has been confirmed as the major sponsor for this year’s Swindon & Wiltshire Pride.

Swindon & Wiltshire Pride have announced that Nationwide Building Society will be returning as main sponsor for the 2023 Pride event.

This year Pride is heading back to Queens Park on Saturday 12th August 2023, for what organisers are promising to be even bigger and better than last year’s popular Pride Picnic.

Lee Hare, Sponsorship Manager said ” We have developed an amazing relationship with Nationwide Building Society over the past 15 years and are so grateful for their continued support. It’s so exciting to welcome them onboard again as an organisation who shares our values and is proud to be different. We hope our relationship will continue to grow for many more years to come”

Phoenix Stewart, community engagement officer added, “We are excited to be returning to Queen’s Park on the back of last year’s successful event where over 3000 people attended throughout the day. We have lots of exciting plans ready for this summer and it is partnerships with Nationwide and our other sponsors that allow us to create these events that are really important for the whole community.”

It’s a special year for Swindon & Wiltshire Pride as they celebrate their 15th anniversary. To mark the occasion Swindon & Wiltshire Pride will be hosting a week of Pride activities which will be taking place from Monday 7th – Sunday 13th August.

The main pride event will take place on Saturday 12th August. The day will kick off with a bright, vibrant and loud Pride march through Swindon Town Centre, starting outside H&M and moving through town, towards Regent Circus. The march will then lead to the main event within Queen’s Park for 12pm.

Lou Flaviani, People Director and co-sponsor of Nationwide Building Society’s Proud Network said, “We are hugely passionate about making Nationwide a more inclusive place for our colleagues and our customers. As co-sponsor of Nationwide’s LGBTQ+ Network I’m delighted to continue our support of Swindon & Wiltshire Pride, as this year’s headline sponsors. Swindon is our home, and we are proud to be a part of this important event.”

There will be lots to enjoy such as stalls, food and drink, live music as well as some special guests which are yet to be announced. Watch this space!

An exciting addition to the festival has been announced with the return of the family circus zone which will be operated by local company Fandagoes. This year will also see the addition of a chill out zone, which will be a quiet space for those that need a moment away from the main event.

To help make the event as inclusive as possible, the main stage will include sign language interpreters and RevoLOOtion, an accessible toilet and changing facility will be on site.

The OFFICIAL after party venue this year is Boom Battle Bar which is located at Regents Circus. The after party kicks off at 7pm with venue decor, activities and live entertainment to help you party long into the early hours.

The event isn’t possible without the support of the sponsors and volunteers who give up their time to support the event over the weekend. If you are available to help out on Saturday 12th August please email .
To help manage capacity organisers are asking all attending to get their free tickets for the march, picnic and after party from
